Heady Topper is the beer that launched the New England IPA revolution. Created by John Kimmich at The Alchemist in Vermont, it was originally a draft-only pub beer before a flood destroyed the brewpub and forced the brewery to can it. The rest is history. Heady Topper is unfiltered, hazy, and bursting with tropical fruit and citrus aromas. The can famously instructs you to "Drink from the can" to preserve the hop aroma.

Aroma

Explosive tropical fruit β€” mango, pineapple, passion fruit β€” with citrus and a soft floral note.

Appearance

Hazy golden orange. Minimal head. Looks like fresh-squeezed juice.

Taste

Juicy tropical fruit upfront, soft and pillowy, with a gentle bitterness that lingers pleasantly.

Mouthfeel

Soft, full, and creamy. The hallmark of the New England style.

Overall

The beer that changed craft brewing. Drink it fresh, drink it from the can, and understand why Vermont is a pilgrimage destination.
